wikipedia:Motor vehicle registration
In most U.S. states including Florida a liability insurance policy that meets the state's auto insurance requirements must be purchased before a vehicle may be registered through the department of motor vehicles. Registration must be renewed annually, with the payment of a fee.
Registration can be done online if has not expired for more than 8 months or in any local tax collector service center.
Florida[edit]
If unable to renew online, customers must go into a local service center or call Customer Service at (850) 617-2000 for further information.
