Prometheus Alertmanager ^[1] handles alerts sent by client applications such as the Prometheus server.

Features:

Deduplicating
Silencing and inhibition
Grouping
Routing to the correct receiver integration such as email, PagerDuty or OpsGenie.
Telegram, Discord, Webex

amtool cli tool is included with all releases of Alertmanager for interacting with the Alertmanager API

Installation: apt install prometheus-alertmanager
docker run --name alertmanager -d -p 127.0.0.1:9093:9093 quay.io/prometheus/alertmanager
macOS:
- sudo port install alertmanager
- Not available: brew install alertmanager
