Prometheus Alertmanager[1] handles alerts sent by client applications such as the Prometheus server. It takes care of
- Deduplicating
- Silencing and inhibition
- Grouping
- Routing to the correct receiver integration such as email, PagerDuty or OpsGenie.
amtoolcli tool is included with all releases of Alertmanager for interacting with the Alertmanager API
Installation
- Installation:
apt install prometheus-alertmanager docker run --name alertmanager -d -p 127.0.0.1:9093:9093 quay.io/prometheus/alertmanager- Binaries:
amtoolprometheus-alertmanager
- Configuration:
/etc/prometheus/alertmanager.yml
