- Set a quota to a filesystems:
zfs set quota=50G YOUR_POOL/home/bob

zfs set quota=50G YOUR_POOL/home/bob cannot set property for 'YOUR_POOL/home/bob': size is less than current used or reserved space
touch your_new_file touch: cannot touch 'your_new_file': Disk quota exceeded To increase quota define a new quota bigger than previous one: zfs set quota=60G pool/home/bob (no output on success)
