Random-access memory (RAM /ræm/) is a form of computer memory that can be read and write in any order typically used for CPU operations and storing volatile information.
Activities
- Review how much RAM you have in your linux computer by executing:
cat /proc/w:/proc/meminfo - Review physical RAM modules in Linux as superuser with:
dmidecode --type memory - Learn about how much RAM can a single CPU socket support in modern enterprise hardware. As of 2019 some servers support up to 3.0 TB per socket.[1]
