  • Stop the OpenVPN service:
$ sudo systemctl stop openvpn@server

  • Start the OpenVPN service:
$ sudo systemctl start openvpn@server
  • Restart the OpenVPN service:
$ sudo systemctl restart openvpn@server


$ sudo systemctl status openvpn@server

Ubuntu Linux 14.04 LTS

  • Stop the OpenVPN service:
$ sudo /etc/init.d/openvpn stop
  • Start the OpenVPN service:
$ sudo /etc/init.d/openvpn start
