Prometheus Alertmanager handles alerts sent by client applications such as the Prometheus server.

Installation

• Installation: apt install prometheus-alertmanager
• docker run --name alertmanager -d -p 127.0.0.1:9093:9093 quay.io/prometheus/alertmanager
• macOS:
  • sudo port install alertmanager
  • Not available: brew install alertmanager

• Binaries:
  • amtool
  • prometheus-alertmanager
• Configuration: /etc/prometheus/alertmanager.yml
• K8s:
  • Bitnami: helm install prometheus bitnami/kube-prometheus
  • Community: helm install myprometheus prometheus-community/prometheus
