Most Routers offer DHCP services but you can also configure a DHCP server your computer for you network.

Using Ubuntu you can install isc-dhcp-server[1].

Install isc-dhcp-server:

  • sudo apt install isc-dhcp-server

Configure your new installed DHCP server:

  • Config file: /etc/dhcp/dhcpd.conf
