• postgres is superuser in PostgreSQL
• rds_superuser is Superuser in AWS RDS PostgreSQL

Examples

To grant rds_superuser to a user user:

GRANT rds_superuser TO "your_username";

Output:
GRANT ROLE 

ALTER USER myuser WITH SUPERUSER;
Error: must be superuser to alter superusers
