Netstat

Netstatis a command at least available in AIX, Linux, macOS and Windows that displays network statistics.

Linux Examples

• netstat -vatunp or netstat -lnpt. See also: ss -ap, ss -ta

-l show only listening sockets
-p --program Show the PID and name (PID/name) of the program to which each socket belong
-t --tcp

• Display statistics by protocol: netstat -s

macOS Examples

• netstat -ap tcp
  • netstat -ap tcp | grep LISTEN
