History

Started as Samruddhi Stock Brokers Limited in 1993 by Vipul Jayantilal Modi, the company changed its moniker to Samco Securities Limited in May 2015.

The name Samco is a portmanteau of the words 'Samruddhi' and 'Company'.

Business

Samco Securities is a subsidiary entity of Samco Ventures Private Limited. The parent company of Samco Ventures Limited has 4 subsidiary entities operating under it - RankMF[1], StockBasket,[2] KyaTrade.[3][4] The company also launched India's first trading league called The Indian Trading League (ITL) on 19th May, 2015, which attracted a Series-A funding of $3 million from investors like Kapil Dev, Siddharth Mehta of Bay Capital.[5]

In July 2021, the company received the final approval to float its Mutual Fund entity - The Samco Mutual Fund.[6]
