wikipedia:ZenHub is an agile project management and product roadmaps[1] tool designed to help software teams organize, plan, track, and manage their work. ZenHub is available either inside GitHub via a browser extension[2] or as a standalone web app. Founded in 2014 in Vancouver, Canada it was bootstrapped to profitability by its parent company, Axiom Zen[3]. In February 2021, the Canadian startup raised $5.9 million CAD ($4.7 million USD) in its first institutional financing round.

Description

ZenHub was initially designed by Axiom Zen developers as an internal solution to solve project management problems[4] without pulling developers out of GitHub's ecosystem[5]. After succeeding internally the decision was made to make it accessible to all GitHub users. Today, ZenHub claims to be used by over 1250 teams in more than 40 countries and powers agile project management for tech darlings like Shopify and Docker, and enterprise giants like Microsoft, Adobe, Comcast, SAP, and NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab. In 2015 custom on-premise installation of ZenHub named ZenHub Enterprise was released enabling customers to use the application with GitHub Enterprise.[6]

Features

  • Workspaces - lets software teams create different workflows using the same GitHub repository.[7][8]
  • Roadmaps - offers a timeline view of the software development projects alongside the Issues, Epics, and Projects that define their progress.[1][9]

Built into GitHub and relying on its data ZenHub provides reporting suite with features like[10][11]
