pkgutil is a command line tool to query and manipulate macOS installer packages and receipts.
Basic commands
- List of packages:
pkgutil --packagesorpkgutil --pkgs - List of files from a package:
pkgutil --files package_name - Package owner of a file:
pkgutil --file-info /usr/sbin/pkgutil
